Dr. Beggs has acquired over 25 years of experience working with census data. In addition to conducting several National Science Foundation-funded projects that involved the use of census data, he has conducted a series of research projects for the Minerals Management Service that required Special Sworn Status to access original data in census files. His experience includes both the use of microdata (household) from the decennial census and micro (establishment) data from the economic censuses, 1977-1997.
